Accommodation

Accommodation-only bookings are available for up to 16 guests at Hololio House and can be reserved directly via Airbnb.

Please note, accommodation bookings do not include hosting events or additional “day-guests” at Hololio House - For event booking information please see below.

  • Hololio House comprises a balanced mix of formal and relaxed spaces, designed for comfort, hosting, and extended stays.

    • Seven bedrooms, comfortably accommodating up to 16 guests (Note: standard booking is for 12 guests)

    • Three and a half bathrooms, including bathtubs in selected rooms

    • Two living spaces, one centred around an open fireplace

    • Formal dining room, suited to hosted meals and group dining

    • Fully equipped kitchen with breakfast table for informal gatherings

    • Covered verandah, offering sheltered outdoor seating

    • Open verandah, connecting the house to the gardens

  • Dining
    Clevedon is a charming village with plenty to offer. From boutique vineyards to our local brewery, Hallertau, the area is celebrated for its food and wine. Dining options range from fine dining at Vin Alto to casual village favourites like Blue Elephant Thai, takeaway spots, and cosy cafés. Be sure to check out The Farmhouse, a local institution, perfect for weekend brunch or their famous high tea.

    Outdoor Adventures
    For those drawn outdoors, the surrounding landscape offers plenty to explore. Duder Regional Park provides a spectacular coastal peninsula walk, while the Hunua Traverse can be enjoyed on foot or by bike. Fourforty Mountain Bike Park, located toward Ōrere, is a favourite for riders, and a network of local walking trails weave through the village and surrounding countryside.

    Art lovers will enjoy Riverhaven Artland, a landscaped garden walk showcasing sculptures by leading New Zealand artists, alongside the Riverhaven Art Gallery.

    Must Do: Clevedon Farmers Market
    A stay in Clevedon wouldn’t be complete without a visit to the Clevedon Farmers’ Market, held every Sunday at the Clevedon Showgrounds on Monument Road — just a five-minute walk from the estate. Expect excellent coffee, fresh pastries, gourmet produce, flowers, and local makers.

Events

For event bookings, all enquiries are handled individually. We’ll work with you to understand your guest numbers, the areas of the estate you wish to use, and any additional details such as marquees, catering arrangements, and event duration.

Every event package includes an on-site Event Coordinator, familiar with the estate, its spaces, and our trusted network of local service providers. This ensures seamless execution on the day, whether you choose our standard package with on-the-day coordination or a full-service upgrade for comprehensive event planning.

Please note: The estate is exclusively dry hire, meaning you’ll bring in your own furniture, catering, marquees, and equipment — giving you the flexibility to tailor your event exactly to your vision.

Flowers

Hololio House is defined by its lush gardens, vibrant greenery, and seasonal blooms — an intrinsic part of the estate’s charm.

Our Floral Add-On allows your florist to incorporate blooms directly from the estate’s own commercial gardens throughout your event.

From table arrangements to larger-scale décor, this bespoke service brings the natural beauty of Hololio House to the forefront of your celebration.
