Sally Jones

NZPCA D,C,C+ Cert Coach, Bachelor of Education

Riding for me is in the blood, generations of women before me have ridden throughout their lives, so it was normal for me at the age of 2 to be given my first pony. I did pony club through my school years and like most horsey girls, the weekends were dedicated to competing on my horses.

I am a qualified primary school teacher and have been coaching riding both privately and in the local pony clubs for the last 10 years. In the middle of 2007 my husband and I decided to start our family so I put teaching on hold but have continued to coach riding and am currently head coach at Totara Park Pony Club.

We currently live in Howick and have two children, Jack and Molly. I am very lucky to be able to combine my love for both horses and teaching and I feel that this shows in my positive approach to coaching.

Kylie Anderson

N.B Kylie is due to have her second child at the beginning of February and will be back coaching next Spring.

NZPC D, C, C+, B Cert / NZPC D & C Cert Coach

I grew up in Beachlands having got my first pony at 7 years. I went on to join Beachlands Pony Club and began working my way through my certificates, competing most weekends.

After leaving school I became a pre-school teacher and during this time I also participated in coaching clinics though pony club. I then began teaching for many different pony clubs around the Franklin district.

I now live in Clevedon with my husband Matthew and my son Thomas, aged 7. I enjoy breeding and bringing on young horses. I’m riding motocross most weekends and am now racing in the Rookie womens’ myself.

I especially love to teach young riders and have a good understanding of young people. This enables me to quickly establish an easy relationship with my riders while being firm and sympathetic, patient and natural.

Andrea (Frosty) Snelling

U.K. Pony Club D,C, C+,B; Eventing, Showjumping and Trecathlon teams.

National Diploma in Equine Business Management at Hartpury College

B.H.S. Stage 1, B.H.S, Stage 2, Preliminary Teaching Certificate

I grew up in Cirencester, and was a Pony Club member from 6 to 16. I regularly taught at PC Rallies until was 18, and then obtained my Diploma from the well regarded Hartpury College.

I worked in Switzerland and California riding and grooming Showjumpers, and then at the age of 21 I discovered polo. For four years I worked the polo circuit - France, Spain, England, Spain, and Australia - grooming High Goal polo for the Geebung team (Rick Stowe). I then travelled to the US and worked on the East Coast circuit (Boston, Sth Carolina and Palm Beach) and also hunted in Boston.

I met my husband Ollie Snelling in the polo world, and we have three children. Scarlett is 6 years old and at Clevedon School, the twins Harriet and Lachlan are 3 years old at Clevedon Kindergarten.

For the last three years in the U.K. I have enjoyed getting back into my riding, both for pleasure, and training - I have been getting tuition. I know how hard it for women who have had children, and time away from riding, to get back into the saddle and I especially enjoy helping them to do this.
I also enjoy teaching more advanced children, and bringing on young horses.
